Otsego County New York
Land Deed Records -
Looking for first piece of property purchaced by Hill (or Father in Law Nathan Lee). This would give place of origin. There were no records of Hill buying land in Otsego. He could have been living on a relatives parcel or on his Father in Laws farm as he is next door to Nathan Lee. First "Richardson" to buy land in Otsego is Caleb Richardson in 1800.

Jefferson County, New York.
Hill purchaces his first piece of land in this county in 1817, but he is on the 1810 census here. The first piece of land here is bought from B.M.Lee. This could be Benjamin Lee, his brother in law. Hill could have been living on a portion of the farm for over 7 years and bought it from him.
