How Do I Pronounce That??!?

A Few Tips

    Here are some of the common sounds I've seen in my New Netherland ancestor's names.
Dutch sounds are on the left and rough English equivalents are on the right:
j = y
ij (ei) = ay or y
g = ch (hard)
-je (-ie) = ye
-dr (short for dochter = daughter)
uy (uij) = oy
tj = ch
ae (aa) = ah
