His occupation is shown as a laborer. The marriage register shows: "pub. Thomas Jackson of Clayton in Leyland parish, and Margaret Eves of Woodplumpton in Michaels parish".  Margaret was christened 23 May 1678 in Woodplumpton, Lancashire, the daughter of Richard and Elizabeth Eaves. Thomas and Margret had the following children:

William Jackson was christened 14 February 1637 in Leyland, the son of William Jackson and Margaret Whittle. He married Elizabeth Hough 29 June 1665 in Leyland. Elizabeth was christened 16 July 1638 in St. Peter, Bolton le Moors, Lancashire, the daughter of Richard Hough and Elizabeth Kircall. Elizabeth died and was buried 8 March 1702 in Leyland. William is shown in the Leyland parish register as receiving collections for the church in 1664 and 1665. William died and was buried 12 May 1715 in Leyland. His occupation was shown as a maltmaker. William and Elizabeth had the following children:
 

1. William, christened 16 May 1666 in Whittle-le-Woods; buried 12 June 1731 in Leyland "of Much Hoole".
 

2. Ellis (male), christened 1 March 1667 in Whittle-le-Woods.
 

3. Margaret, christened 13 October 1670 in Whittle-le-Woods.

William Jackson was christened 9 July 1612 in Croston, Lancashire, the son of William Jackson and An. William married Margaret Whittle 20 August 1630 in Penwortham, Lancashire. Margaret was christened 13 April 1618 in Croston, the daughter of Robert Whittle. William died and was buried 31 December 1666 in Leyland. Margaret died and was buried 23 June 1668 in Leyland. William and Margaret had the following children:
 

1. William, christened 14 February 1637 in Leyland, "de Leyland"; married Elizabeth Hough 29 June 1665 in Leyland; buried 12 May 1715 in Leyland.
