Trefeglwys
The church in Trefeglwys
From the Powys Montgomeryshire Village Book: "The ancient seat of Arwystli, once the seat of the Lords of Powys, includes the parish of Trefeglwys.
Folk tales abound in this delightful corner of mid-Wales. For instance,
Talgarth, a very fine Elizabethan timber-framed house is at the site of
the Hanging Tree. Local tales tell of a Scots pine used as a gibbet, the
pine being of the place once occupied by an ancient oak."
