THE CHILDREN OF
MAURICE HICKEY AND MARGARET LEDDIN
Maurice Hickey and Margaret Leddin had the following children:
1.
Ellen
was
born 20 November 1873 in Chicago, and christened 23 December 1873 at Holy
Family parish in Chicago. She died at the age of four in Pueblo, Colorado
on 6 May 1878. She was later buried in Calvary Cemetery in Chicago on 27
February 1879.
2.
Mary
Josephine was born 17 October 1878 in Pueblo, Colorado, and christened
1 December 1878 at Sacred Heart parish in Pueblo. She married John Joseph
Carey 6 August 1908 in Chicago. They had four children: John, Thomas, and
James. Mary died 28 January 1966 in San Pablo, California.
3.
Mary
Ellen (Margaret) was born 25 August 1880 in Chicago, and christened
29 August 1880 at Sacred Heart in Chicago. She married David Hayes, and
had no children. Margaret worked as a dressmaker. She died 8 January 1965
in Chicago, and is buried in Calvary Cemetery.
4.
Joseph
Patrick was born 11 March 1883 in Chicago, and christened 18 March
1883 at Sacred Heart in Chicago. He never married. He died 2 June 1929,
at the age of 46, at Cook County Hospital in Chicago. He is buried in Calvary
Cemetery.
